I am a psychosocial counsellor (IKP Zürich) and a special education teacher at a primary school in Biel-Bienne with a specific focus on neurodiversity. I offer coaching and counselling in Swiss German and German. So that I can accommodate multi-lingual families, I offer coaching that blends German and English – specifically for those who have a good understanding of German but feel more comfortable speaking English.
Receiving the diagnosis of ADHD myself, after my sons’ diagnoses, helped me to finally find answers to questions that had persisted about my personality. It was therefore particularly important to me that my daughter was also given the opportunity for a diagnosis, especially since she showed ADHD symptoms that are more prevalent in women and often remain overlooked. As a teacher and mother, I look at neurodivergence from multiple perspectives and understand the particularities and challenges of both educators and pupils. This experience enables me to make sense of diverse social and individual situations and environments, and it allows me to do «translation» work on both sides.
